ABOUT THE EVENT
Khalil Madovi is the epitome of the modern renaissance man.
The 24-year-old stands as an artist, producer, songwriter, actor and filmmaker.
Inspired by the likes of Kanye West, Labrinth and Childish Gambino, all notable for their unique flair, Khalil follows his icons as a trailblazer with stellar achievements. The BAFTA winner emerged as an actor on a hit TV series before embarking on a journey that has seen him work with BBC, Amazon Studios and legendary director, Steven Spielberg.
His formal decision to begin producing music, in 2011, would materialise in 2016 with his self-written and produced debut EP ‘MELLO3’ – a conceptual project majorly featuring Manchester's ethereal talent, IAMDDB. Khalil’s wealth of experience has allowed the eclectic beatmaker to craft euphoric sonics for his star-studded clientele, including Sam Wise’s “2 Mill” and Etta Bond’s acclaimed “Bad4Me”.
After trialling the execution of ‘MELLO3’ as a visual project, the South London native opted to nurture his craft as a Fine Art student at the prestigious Central Saint Martins. Since graduating, he has stopped at nothing.
Madovi co-wrote Grammy nominee, Tom Tripp’s “Running” and just completed composing, music directing and featuring in ‘Can I Live?’, an avant-garde theatre piece in collaboration with Complicité and the Barbican.
The visionary has now taken centre stage. Waking music consumers up with the release of “CONFLICT”, Khalil Madovi has set a precedent for the dynamic material to come.
